Dr. Darshini Persaude (Co-Founder) is a Family Physician practicing in Dermatology in Pickering, Ontario. She graduated from the University of the West Indies Medical School in Jamaica in 1992 and completed her family medicine training at the University of Toronto in 2000. In 2012, she was awarded a Fellowship designation in the College of Family Physicians of Canada. She has a Diploma in Practical Dermatology with Distinction from Cardiff University in Wales and a Professional Diploma in Dermoscopy from HealthCert. She is an adjunct lecturer with the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto and teaches medical students and residents at her community practice. Dr. Persaude is a founding member and the past president of the Primary Care Dermatology Society of Canada. She is passionate about dermoscopy and the importance of sun protection for everyone, of all skin types and of all ages. She is a co-founder of Dermoscopy Canada and hopes to bring dermoscopy training to primary care across Canada
